How to check any requirement in five minutes

A method that works for every country: who is allowed to answer your question, and how to reach them.

Most bad decisions about moving abroad start the same way: someone reads a number in a comment, plans a year around it, and finds out too late that it changed or never applied to them.

Here is the method that prevents that.

Step 1: decide what kind of question it is

Every question belongs to exactly one authority:

QuestionWho answers it
Is my diploma accepted? The recognition body of that country
What are the admission requirements? The university's own admissions page
How much money must I show? The embassy or consulate handling your application
What documents does the visa need? The same embassy or consulate
What will living there cost?Statistics offices and student services, not blogs

Nobody else's answer is binding — not an agency's, not a forum's, not ours.

Step 2: go to the primary source

Each country has one official entry point:

  • Germany — study-in-germany.de
  • Italy — universitaly.it
  • Poland — study.gov.pl
  • France — campusfrance.org
  • Romania — edu.ro

Step 3: check the date

A page without a date, or with a date older than a year, is a warning sign. Financial requirements and fees are usually revised annually.

Step 4: write it down with its source

When you find a number, save the number and the link and the date you checked it. In a year you will not remember where it came from, and you will have to do the work twice.

This is exactly how our library is built: every article carries its sources and the date it was checked. Where a fact has not been verified, we say so rather than guess.
